Yesterday marked a very special day for the Office of Student Financial Aid. Our new space, the Student Loan Education Office, hosted its grand opening and official ribbon cutting ceremony. All student affairs staff were welcome to attend the short celebration, tour the new office and enjoy light refreshments. During the ceremony, President Steven Leath, Vice President of Student Affairs, Dr. Hill, GSB President Hillary Kletscher, and Chad Olson, Assistant Director of Student Financial Aid spoke on behalf of the University in introducing the services offered by our office, as well our holistic goal of striving towards reducing student loan indebtedness and increasing the overall financial well-being of students at Iowa State.
Since opening our doors last Fall, the Student Loan Education Office has seen over 2,000 students and we are looking forward to expanding our outreach. Our staff is ready to guide students through responsible borrowing, understanding how to effectively manage their money and understanding the impact of borrowing student loans.
